Drive for Dave: A Benefit for Dave Lex.....your help is needed

My friend Dave Lex, who I grew up with in Brooklawn, was diagnosed with brain & liver tumors and one other area I am not sure of.  What I am sure of is....he is dying....

Dave graduated from Gloucester City High School in 1972.

We had been in contact thru emails and Instant Messenger (and I have a wonderful "Wedding ring found after 34 yrs" story to tell), but haven't had the opportunity to see each other in a while.  He told me he did not ask the dr. how much time he had because he was going to fight and did not want to know a time limit.

Well....his fight is over and without a miracle; I don't believe he can win.  The Doctors have given him two weeks.....brain seizures have caused damage and his left side is affected too.

His wife Jackie (Caparusso) Lex had to stop work to take care of him and he is only receiving a percentage of his truck driving income thru disability.

The last email I received from their daughter was asking for support because the insurance will "cap" and it will not pay for anymore cancer treatment.

They will not only need financial support for the insurance, but basic living needs will be stressed to the limits and they need help. I have rubber bracelets in support of a "Drive for Dave" and am asking for donations for the family.

You can send them directly to me or make a check out in Jackie's name (and send to me), if you feel more comfortable with that. If you like you can drop off a donation and pick up a rubber bracelet to wear in support.
