Shane Davis threw his third consecutive complete game to give the
Canisius College baseball team a split with Rider University at the
Demske Sports Complex on Saturday. The Broncs took the first game 7-6
in 11 innings to snap Canisius’ nine-game winning streak while the
Golden Griffins took the second game 6-3.
Davis allowed three runs, two earned, while yielding seven hits, walking five and striking our four to improve to 6-0 on the season. Adam Donato had two hits in the second game to give him five total hits in the doubleheader. Kevin Mahoney and Paul Panik each had two hits as well for the Griffs (21-3, 4-1 MAAC) in the nightcap.
