News Update: Dr. Vitola Re-Appointed, Parker-McCay new Board Solicitor ; Harry Fox Pleads Guilty
The Gloucester City School Board, at last night’s meeting,
re-appointed Dr. Carl Vitola as the district’s school physician. The Board was
considering replacing Vitola but decided against the idea. Also the Board hired
a new Solicitor, replacing the present solicitor Len Wood, with the Law Firm of
Parker-McCay.
On to another subject, at the Gloucester City Little League meeting last night it was announced that Harry Fox Jr., the former treasurer of the organization, who embezzled $53,000 from the League’s treasury has agreed to plead guilty to the crime. At his sentencing in May he must pay $7000. The plea bargain also calls for Fox to make restitution to the League in the amount of $500 a month for 76 months. It will not be known until his court appearance whether he will be sentenced to probation or community service.

Perhaps Harry could be sentenced to helping to reduce the feral cat problem here in town.

Punishment certainly doesn't fit the crime. I'm sorry to hear, the thief won't have the chance to drop the soap. It will be kind of neat watching Fruit Punch Chest do his community service. Now for the $53,000 question, Will Harry have his shirt "on or off" while he's doing his hours?

you know whats even worse after the people steel the money from the funds of Gloucester Citys Little league and Fire Dept they are so happy that they brag about it and then brag that they didn't get anything for it. So what makes you think they aren't going to do it again to someone else? people who are on the board of stuff in Gloucester should get criminal background checks and credit checks... that way we'll be sure that they won't steal from us... after I heard about that I decided not to put forth any of my hard earned money out to any of those drops. yeah its ashame for the stuff that goes on in Gloucester but you can't trust anyone anymore...

In regards to the sentencing of Mr. Fox in May, I was doing some calculations. If the court orders him to pay $7000 @ sentencing and an additional $500/month for 76months, that only comes out to $45,000. So let's recap, this person stole $53,000 from the GCLL in such a short period of time, yet he is given more than six years to pay it back? Hell of a deal, especially since he stole $53,000 and only has to pay $45,000. Someone please tell me if I'm mistaken on my calculations.
Finally, What the hell did he spend $53,000 on? It has not been disclosed exactly what he spent it on. I sure as hell would like to know since my family makes donations to the GCLL. I think we are entitled to that information.

Mr Coxe
Would it be unfair to say that you represent the Camden County Democrat Political Machine? Now that you pushed your agenda down the taxpayers throats please explain the benefits.
The rumor mill had good information on it when it spoke of Dr. Vitola and Parker & McCay (Norcross). Conclusion, we the taxpayers will only get what we want when we band together to oppose the agenda of the Pay to Play City Democrat Club and Norcross Machine.
Congratulations to Dr. Vitola. It certainly is a shame the residents of Gloucester City are so detached from mainstream thinking that a group as small as the CLUB can control the entire city.
