The proposed site for the New Methadone Clinic: Make sure you watch the Fox Undercover Video on the Clinic at the bottom

Plans are in the
works to turn this dilapidated building on North Broadway owned by the South
Jersey Port Corporation into a Methadone Clinic that will treat up to 700
addicts a day. The property is located within 100 feet of the borderline that
separates Gloucester City from Camden City. The windows in the building are all
broken, trash is sprawl all about. From the appearance of the property it
should have been condemned years ago.
-Side view of the proposed new
site for a methadone clinic on North Broadway near the borderline of the City
of Gloucester and the City of Camden. Owned by the South Jersey Port
Corporation, the property is overrun with weeds and trash. In the background is
the incinerator that pollutes our lungs every day.
If you or I owned this property we
would have been fined and taken to court for not maintaining it. Why hasn't the
South Jersey Port Corp. been taken to task for not maintaining it. How much of
our tax dollars are going to be used to bring this building up to code.
Trucks drive past the proposed
methadone clinic heading south into
Gloucester City.

I watched the video. I think the other guy said it right. Not in my neighborhood for the cops.

Come on folks think about this before you start going through another exercise in futility. The freeholders would never consider putting such a facility in an area that is more affluent than Camden. They are making the best of a bad political situation by responding to the cry "NOT IN MY NEIGHBORHOOD". If you can't suggest a better location get used to this idea. You have graphic proof of what the county thinks of quality of life in Gloucester City. (i.e. Our new power poles with no consultation)
Why should Joe Balzano oppose this? He gets his building fixed up at the expense of others. He doesn't have to deal with those people roaming around inside the port proper. His square footage usage goes up. That looks good in the state reporting stats. And he gets to collect rent.
Craig Remington isn't a Port Board Director based on merit. Norcross told Joe Roberts to nominate him. Craig Remington doesn't visit Joe Roberts. You can see Joe Roberts state car in Craigs parking lot several times a week every week. Remember how pay to play works. Roberts has to earn all that financial support he gets from Craig Remington.
Joe Roberts will tell us what we want to hear but he will do what George Norcross says to do. So if you want to stop this situation you have to have the master decide a change is needed. You do know who the master is don't you, slave? Don't make me say, I told you so.
