Poppy was a true Man of the Earth and enjoyed everything the outdoors offered. He enjoyed hunting big game, fishing, farming his own food, tending his garden of flowers, photographing wild birds and thunderstorms, and always being there for his family. He proudly served the Navy for over 8 years aboard the USS McNair and was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus and the NRA. Poppy was also a skilled craftsman who dedicated many years to Owens Illinois and shared his talents through paint and woodwork for his family. Hardworking hands are now at rest, thank you Poppy.
