Memories from The Past: King Movie Circa 1960's

The movie theater was located at the corner of King and Somerset Streets near the Delaware River. It closed sometime in the 1970's. The structure of the building was in good shape but the roof leaked and damaged the insides. The building was obtained by the City and in the 1980's it was demolished to make room for the development of the City's riverfront.

Today the property is being used for a parking lot.

The  museum is open on Thursday evening from 5 to 8:30pm, Saturday from 11am-2pm, and by request if needed. To schedule an appointment call 856-456-3487.

The Society is sponsoring an Open House on  Sunday, December 14th.
